Entry Level Writing ProgramThis program is supported by the Office of the Vice Provost - Undergraduate Studies and is not affiliated with the University Writing Program or Department of English. All University of California students must fulfill the Entry Level Writing Requirement (ELWR). As per UC policy, students may take the Analytical Writing Placement Exam (AWPE) only once. New students who have not satisfied the Entry Level Writing Requirement prior to enrollment must take Sacramento City College's Workload 57, a basic writing course taught on the Davis campus that carries 4.5 units of UCD workload credit.
